Yoichi is located at the base of the Shakotan Peninsula.<\/p>\n
Here you will find moutains, rivers and the sea.<\/p>\n
Shrimp, crab, sea cucumber, and sea urchin are fished from the sea.<\/p>\n
In the moutains, we can harvest wild vegetables.<\/p>\n
And, many kinds of vegitables grow in the fields.<\/p>\n
Asparagus, tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, potatoes, carrots, lettuce, cabbage, pumpkins, and \u2026 Stop me please.<\/p>\n
Seasonal vegetables and seafood tastes so good.<\/p>\n
And they are so cheap.<\/p>\n
It is very interesting that fruit can be harvested in Yoichi, Hokkaido.<\/p>\n
Apples, cherries, grapes, plums, strawberries, blueberries can all be harvested.<\/p>\n
Many people think that, Hokkaido is so cold, that the roots of fruit trees will freeze and the trees will die.<\/p>\n
In fact, the snow keeps them warm and protects the roots.<\/p>\n
But too much snow crush the trees.<\/p>\n
Luckily, in Yoichi, the amout of snow is appropriate.<\/p>\n
In recent years, several wineries have been built.<\/p>\n
